The Gold 10 is recommended for off-trail enthusiasts who want to go where they want to go. The Gold 10, like all the Crescent Moon snowshoes is a tear drop shaped shoe that gives you greater maneuverability than traditionally shaped shoes and provides a more athletic response and performance whether you're on the trail or off. The Gold 10, also known as the "Backcountry" model has additional stainless steel tracking crampons, called traversing claws that provide a grip like no other which makes you feel like you can go in any direction, including straight across the fall line. The synthetic fur Thunsulate will keep your feet as warm as you need them without weighing you down and the external heel counter will keep your foot firmly in place inside your shoe.
